Anna Tierney
Graduate Student
Anna (she/her) is a first-year graduate student in the BEAR Lab. After graduating from Boston College in 2021, she worked as a Clinical Research Assistant in Dr. Christian Webb's Treatment & Etiology of Depression in Youth Lab at McLean Hospital. She is interested in understanding the thoughts and emotions involved in the onset, maintenance, and treatment of depression and anxiety in adolescents. Specifically, she seeks to use Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) to understand these factors in real time and see how they can contribute towards individualized risk trajectories and treatment plans. Her hobbies include running, cooking / baking, listening to live music, and spending time with her friends and family.
Allison Baines
Graduate Student
Allison (she/her) is a first-year clinical psychology graduate student in the BEAR Lab. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and her M.A. in Psychology from Brandeis University. Allison is interested in using fMRI and ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to understand how the presence and quality of friendships influences neurodevelopment and psychopathology. Her hobbies include cooking, spending time with her friends and exploring Charlottesville with her husband and dog.
